| Instructor Bio: | BETSY CARLSON Grand Rapids, Michigan - - Making quilts is exciting, but leading others to become quilters or improve their technique is thrilling. Betsy Carlson is in her fifth year of sharing the joy of quilting with a BERNINA Q-Series to quilters throughout America as she visits dealerships and quilt shows as part of the BERNINA Event Team. Betsy quilts on a BERNINA Q-24 on a professional frame with Q-matic, finishing her own quilts and quilting for others. As a quilter, Betsy shares first-hand quilting experience, and how a BERNINA Longarm can help any quilter improve their stitch quality, give them control over the completed quilt, and put money towards owning equipment instead of paying others for quilting. Betsy started sewing professionally at age 16 when she was mentored in alterations at a local clothing store. Her sewing has included garments, slipcovers, embroidery, bags, improvisational and traditional quilts. |
