Free Motion Feathers
Feathers are the hallmark of stunning quilts, both modern and traditional. We will use award-winning quilter Natalia Bonner's beginner-friendly, visual guide to learn the basics of free motion feathers. The class will cover basic feather construction and design considerations. While we use domestic sewing machines during class, the skills transfer to longarm machines as well. When combined with your own ideas, there are endless creative options available to you for finishing your quilts.

| Instructor Bio: | Cindy Jorgenson has been sewing or quilting since her tween years. She had a frugal and enthusiastic mother who insisted a child who can sew doll clothes can sew her own clothes. Her relationship with quilting was transformed when her husband gifted her the sewing machine of her dreams in 2011. About four years later, she took the leap into free motion quilting and it quickly became her favorite part of the quilting process. Cindy aspires to take your breath away with her quilting and knows a growth mindset is necessary to making that happen. Two of her quilts were displayed at the 2021 Northwest Quilting Expo, where she was challenged with new and diverse ideas and techniques. Cindy is a Certified Public Accountant who worked for the Montana Legislative Audit Division for almost 37 years. In addition to her love of work and quilting, she enjoys cooking and learning Korean. Her husband and children support her quilting addiction, often contributing to her quilting process. |
